The Ear Crop
Some of the ear crops done at Fillmore Animal Hospital
Dr. Lidikay is one of the few veterinarians in California that performs the ear crop surgery. Dr. Lidikay takes pride in his work and his clients see this in the excellent results of his surgery. Ear crop surgery is an art form and Dr. Lidikay considers himself an ear sculptor because each ear crop surgery he performs is a unique surgery that is tailored to meet the needs of the dog, complimenting and enhancing the dog's features.
At Fillmore Animal Hospital we treat you and your pets like family - this means that we take the time to explain our services to you and to answer any questions you have. Because of our deep concern for your pets as part of the family, we see to it that our anesthesia protocol is as safe as possible. The protocol that we use for our patients is formulated specifically for each and every patient, taking your pet's age, breed and general health into consideration. We use state of the art inhalation anesthesia consisting of isoflurane and 02 delivered via an endotracheal tube.
While we always aim to keep the costs of the ear crop surgery low, we do so with the safest possible anesthetic protocols and monitoring. This level of safety and care we provide sets us apart from all others. There are no "assembly lines" at our facility - each patient has a crop surgery to accentuate and compliment his/her unique qualities and receives Dr. Lidikay's direct attention at every step of the visit.
All patients receive pain medications before and after the surgery. Furthermore, antibiotics, sedatives and pain medications are sent home with them to help minimize any discomfort or anxiety they may experience. These medications are not optional - the cost of the surgery includes these so there are no "hidden fees" when your pet goes home.
Ear crop surgery can really make a difference in your dog's appearance in the hands of skilled and experienced veterinarians.
If you have any questions about our ear crop surgery, please do not hesitate to call or come in.
